Cave Canem's Scholarship Fund
When a number of accepted poets could not attend the first summer workshop/retreat due to lack of money, Cave Canem fellows established a Scholarship Fund. Almost one-third of those attending each year now receive some level of scholarship assistance thanks to the support of our fellows and others. Contributions to the Scholarship Fund are gratefully received year round, as are donations to specific programs, the endowment, or general operating expenses.
The donation for a full retreat scholarship of $495 can be given in memory of a person whom the donor wishes to honor and named for the honoree. The recipient of the scholarship will contact the donor to personally thank them for this assistance that makes it possible for them to participate.
